The Québec Node was led by Laurette Dubé and Nii Addy, both from McGill University in Montréal, in collaboration with Anna-Liisa Aunio, from Dawson College.

Research interests in the Québec Node included:

  • Cross-sector partnerships for community food initiatives, particularly across businesses, non-profits, and community organizations
  • Sparking community food transformation through partnership networks
  • Engaging students and social enterprise in food system innovations
  • Urban municipal food policy and the role of Montréal’s neighbourhoods in food systems transformation
  • The role of Conseil Système Alimentaire Montréalais (C-SAM) in Montréal’s food policy landscape
  • Community-based methodologies for local food systems
