International Working Groups

Our International Advisory Committee (IAC) complements the work of the National Advisory Committee. The IAC includes experts from the United States, Mexico, Cuba, Germany, France, Wales, the Netherlands, Italy and South Africa. Three Working Groups explore and develop research related to agro-ecology, territorial food systems and related metrics, and innovative governance.

Innovative Governance

Issues of policy and governance are key to building more sustainable food systems at the municipal, regional, national and international scales.The FLEdGE Innovative Governance Working Group is focused on examining food policy.

Territorial Integration/ Metrics

Territorial Integration explores food systems flows within urban/peri-urban/rural spaces. These include flows of materials, knowledge, people and resources. As a working group, we explore ways to benchmark and track these movements.
