Erin Nelson

With a background in International Development and Rural Studies, Erin has extensive experience working in Canada and Latin America on issues related to sustainable food systems, local food networks, food security, and community development. Her professional interests and expertise include community-based participatory research, education, writing, and facilitation, and she has experience collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders, including civil society organizations, policy-makers, farmers, and citizen groups. As part of FLEdGE, Erin chairs the International Agroecology Working Group and is a member of the Southern Ontario node. She also coordinates an active research and education program focused on agroecology in Cuba.
