Byomkesh Talukder is a SSHRC Joseph-Armand Bombardier PhD candidate. His doctoral work develops and tests innovative and multidisciplinary techniques using Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) to assess the sustainability of agricultural systems. This work combines social, environmental and economic data to inform agricultural sustainability policy. Byomkesh’s research and writing explore food and agriculture systems through an interdisciplinary lens. His work has gained international attention as he has been invited to share his research findings at key international conferences on climate change, and food and agriculture. His PhD project is consistent with the indicator based assessment of recent Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of UN.
