On Thursday June 23, 2016, a few FLEdGE members including academic & community partners, students and sustainable food systems practitioners met for an evening of networking at the Caribbean Wave in Scarborough ON.
The gathering presented opportunities for everyone to meet up. Everyone was able to learn about each other’s on-going research, and develop network and research opportunities. Informal conversations emerged around the FLEdGE themes of integration, scaling up & out and innovative governance plus the three international working groups of agroecology, territorial integration and metrics. This was also a great opportunity for students to meet and network with senior scholars and practitioners and to strengthen the FLEdGE partnership in sustainable food systems.
